Within a lush olive grove, where a complex of three autonomous villas is erected in complete harmony with the Greek nature. Stone and wood are the main materials, highlighting the simplicity of design, the ample light of the area and the amphitheatrical view of the entire Bay of Navarino. The name “Rizes” holds a profound significance for us. In Greek, “ρίζες” means both “roots” and “olive tree” and it serves as our homage to our connection to our past.

PYLOS: A PLACE FULL OF HISTORY

In the heart of Messinia, the long history of Pylos survives to this day. It was here that the kingdom of Nestor, the wise Mycenaean king, flourished in antiquity and where the first samples of Greek writing were found. In the Middle Ages, the dominance of the region alternated between Venetians and Ottomans, until the Battleship of Navarino in 1827, which marked the beginning of a new historical period for Pylos, as part of an independent nation. This tradition is encountered in every stroll and in every monument, that is preserved to this day.
